We are currently accepting applications for certified nursing assistants with a passion for geriatrics to join our team.

 

A typical day looks like:

  • Provide direct care to nursing home residents for activities of daily living with some medical care
  • Assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair with transfer belt
  • Assist residents in:
    • Bathing
    • Dressing or undressing
    • Using bathroom facilities
    • Peri-care
  • Take vital signs of residents (i.e., temperature, blood pressure) and record information
  • Assist residents to dining area for meals and to activities on and off the Unit
  • May be required to assist in feeding of residents and documenting intake of nourishment
  • May be required to strip bedding and replace with clean linens
  • May be required to assist in personal grooming (i.e., brush hair, trim finger and toenails)
  • If resident is bedridden due to illness, aid may be required to turn resident intermittently
  • May be required to clean bedpans and empty catheter bags
  • Document information regarding residents’ health, I & O and any change of medical condition
