With over 120 years of service in Kitsap County, Martha & Mary Health Services is looking for energetic, care focused Nursing Assistants with a passion for geriatrics to join our team.
Duties: Provide direct care to nursing home residents for daily living activities and some medical care. Assist residents in and out of bed, into wheelchairs, in bathing, dressing or undressing, personal grooming, using bathroom facilities and with peri-care. Take vital signs of residents; record information. Assist residents in feeding and document intake of nourishment. Strip bedding; replace with clean linens. Clean bedpans and empty catheter bags. Document information regarding the residents health, I & O and changes in medical condition.
Requirements: Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification required. Must have genuine interest in caring for the elderly and providing long term care of residents. Must have competent documentation skills and the ability to use lifting devices and other medical equipment. Must be able to work effectively in situations involving interpersonal relationships. Must have initiative and ability to cope with circumstances dangerous to self or others.
